TRAINING PROVIDER

What is a Training Provider (TP)?

A Training Provider (TP) is an organization officially registered on the Skill India Digital (SIDH) platform. Upon registration, a TP receives a unique TP ID, dashboard access, and recognition to participate in the Skill India ecosystem.

Becoming a TP is the first and mandatory step before applying for Training Centre (TC) approval, SSC Affiliation, job role approvals, or any Skill India–aligned training projects.

Important: TP status only creates your institute’s identity on the Skill India platform — it does not authorize training delivery, branding use, or certificate issuance without additional approvals and validations.

ECOSYSTEM BACKBONE

What is the SIDH Portal?

The Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) is the intelligent digital platform powering the entire ecosystem. It connects Training Providers, Candidates, Employers, and Assessors in a unified network.

Centralized Management

It is the central system used for TP/TC registration, job role approvals, SSC affiliation, batch creation, assessments, and certificate tracking.

Trust & Compliance

SIDH acts as the core backbone of the Skill India ecosystem, ensuring that every institute, trainer, and student is verified, compliant, and traceable under government-approved standards.

ADVANTAGES

What You Get With TP Registration

TP Registration gives your institute an official Training Provider (TP) ID on the Skill India Digital (SIDH) platform, dashboard access to manage your profile, and visibility as a registered Training Provider.

It also makes you eligible to apply for Training Centre (TC) Registration, SSC Affiliation, job-role approvals, and future Skill India–aligned opportunities.

"TP Registration simply creates your institute’s identity in the ecosystem — further approvals are required to run training, use branding, or issue certificates."

NEXT STEP

What is TC Registration?

TC Registration (Training Centre Registration) is the process through which an institute gets its physical training location approved on the Skill India Digital (SIDH) platform.

A Training Centre (TC) is the official venue where Skill India–aligned training, assessments, and batches can be conducted.

When an institute completes TC Registration, its training centre is verified for infrastructure, equipment, compliance, and readiness to deliver approved job roles.

TC Registration is the mandatory step after TP Registration and before delivering any Skill India training.

What Institutes Get

  • An official TC ID on Skill India Digital
  • Approval to deliver approved job roles under an SSC
  • Eligibility to register trainers and assessors
  • Permission to host Skill India batches and assessments
  • Visibility as a certified training centre on the SIDH portal
  • TC Registration confirms that your institute meets the infrastructure and compliance standards required to run vocational training under Skill India.

Eligibility Criteria For TC Registration

To register as a Training Centre (TC), an institute must meet basic Skill India infrastructure and compliance standards.

Infrastructure

Properly constructed classrooms (min 200 sq. ft.), SSC-specific labs with tools, separate washrooms, safe drinking water.

SECTOR EXPERTISE

What is an SSC (Sector Skill Council)?

A Sector Skill Council (SSC) is an industry-led body under Skill India that defines the skills, standards, and job roles required in a particular sector (such as IT, Retail, Beauty, Healthcare, Construction, etc.).

SSC affiliation is essential for institutes that want to offer approved job roles, standardized training, assessments, and nationally recognized Skill India certificates.

What Institutes Get Through SSC Affiliation

  • Deliver approved job roles under that SSC
  • Train students strictly as per official QP/NOS standards
  • Conduct assessments through SSC-approved assessors
  • Issue Skill India–recognized certificates
  • Use SSC and Skill India logos as per official branding guidelines

Eligibility Criteria for SSC Affiliation

Any institute that wants to offer Skill India–approved job roles must meet the basic eligibility for SSC Affiliation, which includes being a legally registered organization (college, institute, NGO, trust, society, partnership firm, proprietorship, or company) and having the required training infrastructure as per the SSC’s QP/NOS standards.

The centre must have qualified trainers as per SSC guidelines, the necessary tools and equipment for the selected job roles, proper classrooms and labs, and must agree to follow SSC-prescribed assessment, certification, and branding rules.

Affiliation is granted only when the institute demonstrates delivery capability per national standards.
