India’s Skilling Infrastructure

What is the SIDH Portal?

The Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) is the official unified digital platform of the Government of India under the Skill India Mission, serving as the single source of truth for the national skilling ecosystem.

SIDH is jointly driven by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), and NCVET. It digitally integrates training providers, centres, assessors, candidates, employers, and government bodies into one standardized infrastructure.

From an institute’s perspective, SIDH is the mandatory operational backbone for delivering Skill India–aligned programs. All approvals, affiliations, compliance, monitoring, and reporting flow exclusively through this portal.

Without SIDH onboarding, institutes cannot legally operate Skill India courses, issue certificates, or participate in NSDC or SSC-led programs.

Centralised Control System

SIDH governs TP/TC registration, SSC affiliation, job role approvals, batch creation, assessments, certifications, and lifecycle tracking through a single authenticated government framework.

Compliance & Transparency

Training strictly follows SSC-defined Qualification Packs (QPs) and National Occupational Standards (NOS), with digital assessments and QR-verifiable certifications.

Data-Driven Governance at National Scale

SIDH enables real-time tracking of enrollments, attendance, assessments, certifications, placements, and learner progression—making India’s skilling ecosystem transparent, outcome-driven, and industry-trusted.

TRAINING PROVIDER

What is a Training Provider (TP)?

A Training Provider (TP) is an organization that is officially onboarded into the Skill India system to participate in the national skill development framework. Once TP registration is approved, the institute receives access to the Skill India Digital (SIDH) portal, along with a unique Training Provider (TP) ID and a centralized dashboard to manage its profile and applications.

Through SIDH, a registered TP can apply for Training Centre (TC) approval, connect with Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), and initiate job role alignment under SSC-defined Qualification Packs (QPs) and National Occupational Standards (NOS). TP registration is the mandatory entry stage for institutes intending to operate within the Skill India ecosystem.

However, TP approval alone does not authorize an institute to start Skill India training, use Skill India or SSC logos, or issue government-recognized certificates. These permissions are granted only after completing further approvals such as TC Registration, SSC Affiliation, assessment setup, and alignment with approved Skill India projects or programs.
