Individual registration is not allowed. Only NPOs that are registered under one of the categories listed above and possess required documentation to verify legal status are eligible to register on the NGO Darpan portal.
Essential documents needed for successful registration
Official document proving legal establishment and government recognition of the NGO.
Unique tax identification number required for financial transactions and compliance.
Aadhaar and PAN Cards of at least three key office bearers (President, Secretary, Treasurer).
Bank statement or cancelled cheque confirming the NGO’s operational account.
Record of past funding sources, grants received, and financial utilization (if applicable).
Follow these steps to easily register your NGO on the NGO DARPAN Portal and obtain your unique DARPAN ID.
To begin the registration process, visit the official NGO DARPAN website.
Click ‘Login/Register’ → ‘Sign Up’. Provide NGO name, mobile, email, contact person details and verify via OTP.
Enter NGO name, PAN, registration number, address, validity, and FCRA details.
Provide names, Aadhaar numbers, roles, and contact details of governing body members.
Upload registration certificate, PAN, Aadhaar, bank proof, and grant details of last 5 years.
Fill contact details, source of funds & working sites. Save and complete profile.
Your documents are reviewed, and once approved, verification email is sent.
After approval, login to generate your DARPAN ID and access government programs & grants.
