The Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC) was set up by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, to facilitate and promote the export of services from India. It is the nodal body for service exporters.
Unlike goods, services are intangible. However, exporters of services (like Consultants, IT firms, Hotels, Hospitals, Educational Institutes) also need the RCMC (Registration-Cum-Membership Certificate) to avail benefits under schemes like SEIS (Service Exports from India Scheme).
