The Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) is a non-profit organization
established in 1982 by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India,
with the objective of promoting and facilitating the export of Indian
carpets and floor coverings worldwide.
CEPC serves as the official voice of the Indian carpet export industry,
representing exporters at national and international platforms and
strengthening India’s global presence in handmade carpets and rugs.
The council promotes handmade and hand-knotted carpets, rugs, floor coverings,
and allied products, reflecting India’s rich craftsmanship, traditional weaving
heritage, and design excellence.
With over 2,000 registered members across India and regional offices in
Noida, Bhadohi, and Srinagar, CEPC plays a critical role in supporting
exporters through trade facilitation, policy advocacy, and market development initiatives.
CEPC acts as a strategic bridge between Indian carpet exporters
and international buyers, ensuring sustainable export growth,
global recognition, and long-term competitiveness.
